National Falls Awareness Day: Tuesday June 24th 2008
Bridges Shopping Centre, Sunderland 10.00am - 2.00pm
A group of health professionals in Sunderland are holding an event aimed at the over 65’s to raise awareness of “falls” and “falls Prevention”. This initiative will take place in the “Market Square” at the Bridges Shopping Centre in Sunderland between 10am and 2pm on the above date.
The event will promote activities that older people can do to remain independent in later life and inform them of how to reduce their risk of falling and fractures. This will include a health check, advice and information from a multi disciplinary Team.
