Sector 3 are one of several partners in"Health Stop", a new unit in the Metro Centre, where shoppers can drop in and get advice and information on all sorts of health issues.

Sector 3 will be talking to people about Brief Intervention for Smoking on Saturday 8th May between 10am and 1pm.  If you are at the Metro, why not drop in and see what's going on - or even better, get some info for someone who's thinking of quitting smoking.  Help is here!

Join National Wear Red Day on Friday 26 Feb or choose your own event - anything goes as long as it's red! For further information go to the British Heart Foundation's link below. There is also a free fundraising kit that has lots of posters, stickers, games, ideas and a little collection box. Send them your details below and they will send out your kit straight away.

Our message for this campaign is that even small changes to your lifestyle can make a big difference. Becoming more active, eating healthier, keep a check on your waist measurement, drinking alcohol sensibly, stop smoking and having a health check can all help to reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease.

Copies of the health for life - cardiovascular poster and the BHF - Keep Your Heart Healthy Booklets are available in reasonably large quantities from the Public Health Improvement Team. The team are currently mailing out hundreds of packs to those individuals and organizations who have expressed an interest in the Campaign.
