I think it's great having the notes etc on the web - easy to access and store without clogging up my memory or losing them in a file of paper.
The annual report is looking good and will be interested in any feedback and how we get useful feedback.
Have noticed a lot of the documents are simply labelled as "down load file" and it would be more helpful if they were tagged as eg "annual report" in the way the strategies are.
Today have "wasted" a lot of time trying to track down some basic demogrpahic data about Gateshead - eventually used a disc out of the DPH annual report but really think the compendium should be on the web blog and that the surveys in the document bank (lifestyle and BMI) could usefully be with the statistical links that Peter Wright posted.
Have lots of experiences / issues / ideas that I would like to communicate to the web blog working group - how best do I do this? How should anyone with comments about the site post them for best effect?
Looking forward to next week's CEHI meeting - I would love to hear from anyone who has ideas how to organise our time better in or out of the meetings - please get in touch
Useful posting...
Taking on board your comments re feedback on the site - there is a Discussion category on the left panel - just click Site Matters and use the comments feature on that to raise questions, give feedback and donate ideas.
Yes the bald "download file" link not particularly helpful. It is easily changed - however it will need our editors to grasp some very basic HTML. I will ensure that this forms part of some refresher training...
thanks
Peter
Point re posting Compendium of Health Related Statistics to CEHI taken. I am working on some minor technical problems. Once these are solved I will post it to the site.
I have also set up a thread entitled "Health Information" and will be posting blogs and information here in due course.
