I attended 3 of the dph walk, talk and be informed events at Hookergate,Whickham and Bensham.
It was really good to meet and hear what those who make "every contact a health improvement contact" have to say
Though we did choose the hottest days of the year so far.
Would really like to hear other peoples views of this different approach to launching the dph report.

I found it an informative and envigorating experience (very worthwhile, despite the heat). My thanks go to all who participated in any way.

What a good day, made even better by the glorious weather we had.
Good to see public health doing what they preach and doing some physical activity, although some walking footwear lead alot to be desired.
Well done!!

We heard a lot of feedback, whilst we were out and about, in response to my concerns about immunisation rates locally. As a result I have met up with Gateshead's immunisation co-ordinator, and a representative from the Childrens Centres in Gateshead. We have come up with a plan to get more people better informed over the next year. We will also look at alternative ways of offering immunisations for those who find it difficult.
