The “Gateshead Health Group� is a group of people in Gateshead with Learning Disabilities. They meet regularly to talk about how they can improve their health and the health of others with learning disabilities.
Patricia Hewitt: Secretary of State for Health
In February 2007 members of the group visited London to meet the Secretary of State for Health, Patricia Hewitt. They wanted to talk about the work of their group and ask if the health of people with learning disabilities is a priority for the NHS.
