Mind the Gap: A new exhibition exploring the history of mental health issues in the North East
Until 15 January 2009
Discovery Museum
A new exhibition exploring the history of mental health issues in the North East is now open in the People's Gallery at Discovery Museum. The exhibition, named Mind the Gap, aims to inform, enlighten and dispel myths surrounding mental health.
One in four people in the UK will experience a mental health problem at some point in their lives. Mind the Gap challenges the stigmas surrounding mental health issues and highlights the success stories of people living with mental health problems in the North East today. This insightful exhibition was curated in partnership by Tyne & Wear Museums' outreach team and Northumberland, Tyne and Wear Services Users and Carers Network.
